Production is underway in the UK, with Rivals set to return in 2026 – promising another round of drama, sharp wit, intense ambition and a bit of 1980s glamour.

Adapted from Jilly Cooper’s best-selling Rutshire Chronicles, season 2 takes us back to the lush Cotswolds, painting a world where the stakes are high for rivals trying to keep their grip on Britain’s television scene.

The story picks up after last season’s jaw-dropping cliffhanger, with Tony’s fate up in the air and Lord Baddingham’s thirst for revenge setting the pace.

As the new season unfolds, the tangled relationships between its characters are stretched further with careers, marriages and reputations all hanging in the balance.

Secrets, power plays and complicated alliances come to the fore, making Rivals a signature blend of beauty and brutal competition.

For viewers in the US, Rivals will stream on Hulu, while those in the UK and beyond can catch it on Disney+.
