Netflix has dropped the first look and confirmed the premiere date for Run Away, the newest thriller from bestselling author Harlan Coben.
The six-part series will launch on January 1, 2026, and follows on the heels of 2025’s hit limited series Missing You.

Leading the cast is James Nesbitt as Simon, a man whose seemingly perfect life shatters when his eldest daughter, Paige, runs away.
When he finally finds her in a city park, vulnerable and spiraling, Simon thinks he’s getting a second chance but things quickly take a dark and violent turn.

Also starring Ruth Jones, Minnie Driver, Alfred Enoch and Lucian Msamati, the drama dives into the aftermath of a shocking event that pulls Simon into a dangerous underworld, exposing secrets that threaten to destroy everything he thought he knew about his family.
Like previous Coben adaptations, Run Away relocates the action from the US to the UK, with filming taking place in and around Manchester and the North West of England.

The ensemble cast includes Jon Pointing, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Annette Badland, Maeve Courtier-Lilley, Ellie de Lange, Adrian Greensmith, Ellie Henry, Ingrid Oliver, Finty Williams, Joe McGann and Amy Gledhill.
Coben’s signature style of family secrets, twists and suspense returns in full force, and with such a stacked cast and an emotionally high-stakes story, Run Away looks to be one of Netflix’s big releases heading into the new year.
