ITV has greenlit The Blame, a new six-part crime drama starring Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth.
Produced by Quay Street Productions, the series begins filming this summer in and around London and will air in the UK on ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV Player.

The story kicks off when the body of teenage figure skater Sophie Madsen is found in the quiet town of Wakestead.
What starts as a tragic case quickly spirals into a web of lies, cover-ups and betrayal.
DI Emma Crane (Keegan) and DI Tom Radley (Booth) must navigate a tense murder investigation while facing corruption and shifting loyalties within their own team.
Joining the lead duo are Ian Hart, Nathan Mensah, Nigel Boyle, Joe Armstrong, Matilda Freeman, Gavin Spokes, Josh Bolt and Ceallach Spellman.
The series is based on Charlotte Langley’s debut novel of the same name and promises gripping twists, complex characters and a mystery that will keep viewers guessing until the very end.
ITV’s Director of Drama, Polly Hill, said: “The Blame is a brilliant new crime thriller full of surprising twists and a compelling investigation that also cleverly tackles police corruption, exploitation and misogyny as the thriller unravels.
“Megan is such a wonderful and clever writer, and with Michelle Keegan in the lead and Nicola Shindler at the helm, this is going to be an unmissable drama and one I’m very proud to have on ITV.”
US and international releases are to be announced.
