ITV has released the trailer for Frauds, a brand-new heist drama that brings Suranne Jones and Jodie Whittaker together on screen for the very first time.

The series follows Bert (Jones) and Sam (Whittaker), two con women whose messy but darkly funny friendship is reignited when Bert is released from prison and turns to Sam for help with one final job.

What follows is an audacious art heist, with the pair pulling together a ragtag team of outcasts to take on the crime of the century.

But it’s not just the challenges of the heist that threaten their plan, it’s the fraught power struggle between Bert and Sam, which could derail everything and destroy them both.

Set against the striking backdrop of southern Spain, Frauds mixes crime, tension, and the complexity of female friendship in a story of survival and deception.

Alongside starring, Suranne Jones also serves as co-creator and executive producer, reuniting with Anne-Marie O’Connor and Monumental Television after their hit series Maryland.

Speaking about the project, Jones said she has always wanted to work with Whittaker, adding: “I hope you love Bert and Sam and all they get up to as much as we do.”

Frauds will air start on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday, 5 October at 9PM.
